The first season of Moberly’s ice rink was open every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from November 24 – January 7. This year, the rink was managed by volunteers under a committee of supervisors.
Being the first year, the committee was unsure how this facility would be received by the public, but attendance remained steady throughout the entire season.
Not only did attendees remain steady and many nights were sold out, but visitors came from ___ counties in Missouri and ___ states.
Besides the busy nights and increase in tourism traffic to the City, the facility was featured on the new stations five times and will be in one magazine feature this winter.
We greatly enjoyed visiting with everyone that traveled to Moberly to skate. We had many first time skaters that experience holiday magic in the Magic City. We greatly want to thank Moberly Parks and Recreation, the City of Moberly and all of our volunteers that worked at the rink. Your time and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed to helping our community.
